Lutein is a major component of the macular pigment in the eye, which filters out harmful high-energy blue light and protects the retina. Higher macular pigment density is associated with better visual performance and reduced glare sensitivity. Lutein is believed to help maintain healthy vision by protecting the eyes from oxidative stress caused by exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light and blue light. Recommended In take
